Walking in water

The Berkeley Park pool closes soon so we've been trying to get our swimming in while we still can. Z and his mom came over for a late afternoon swim at Berkeley today.

LT's new thing is pointing and saying "dat, dat" when he sees something he's interested in.

A few years ago when I hurt my knee, part of my rehabilitation was walking in the pool to regain confidence and build strength so I could walk (normally) again. LT has been walking in the baby pool a lot recently. I started saying he's doing his own rehab but Kari pointed out that it'd be much more approprate to call it "prehab" because he's still learning to walk for the first time. He sure seems to be having a lot more fun doing his prehabilitation than I ever had doing rehabilitation.

Presumably inspired by he Olympics, Z was practicing some new skills of his own.

How goes the walking on dry land?

Still not too much progress in the dry land walking.

If we entice him enough and he isn't laughing hysterically (walking is funny apparently), he will occasionally take a few steps, but its almost as rare as seeing a rhino in Denver!
