Lately

Our whole family got hit with COVID.  With our house being renovated, we escaped to the mountains for the 10 days we were all quarantined.  It was a roller coaster rolling through all of us at slightly different times.  Luckily, none of us ended up needing medical attention, but it wasn't fun, especially for Brian, Ads and I.  The other two seemed to slide through with slight to no symptoms.
This girl was outside our place on the first morning we were up there!  Her daughter/friend was right behind her.  Despite Lexi about losing her mind, it was really incredible.
When we were all mostly feeling well, we went to the park to sled for an afternoon.
B had online school for about an hour each day.
But mostly we just snuggled and hung out in our place while we all recovered.

New Years Eve Tradition

After zoom fondue last year's NYE, we decided to do it in person again this year.  No pictures of the fondue, or the fun activity Shawn brought for the kids (unwrapping fun little trinkets from saran wrap as fast as you can), but here are two of the big guys making shirley temples and cheers to 2022.

Christmas Morning

Magic is real when you have a 6 year old.  Santa, gifts, unwrapping, playing all brings so much joy to our little guy.  The big guys enjoyed it as well (once they woke up!)

The North Pole- Santa's Workshop

I remember going to the North Pole near Colorado Springs as a kid (I have no idea how old I was), but we had never taken our kids.  We decided this was the year.  It's set up in the mountains outside of the springs, pretty high up.  Despite the warm temps in Denver that day, it was really chilly, but we managed to have some fun at this dated and yet quirky and fun theme park.

Lots of Playtime

We spent a lot of time letting Ads play with his best bud from preschool (and ever since) over break.  They are able to ride bikes to one another's houses now, which makes it especially easy!
