Pre Halloween Halloween Activities

I took exactly zero pictures of the events I meant to take photos of, but here are a few of our recent halloween activities.  Above, decorating halloween faces.
Eating the rice krispies before making spooky rice krispie treats and carving pumpkins (no photos).
Waiting in line for our annual adventure to glow at the gardens.  Luckily a good friend of ours sends out a text in early September to buy tickets (otherwise its sold out... and I am never on top of things!)
Trick or Treating on the fax (or napping on the fax in this case).  And I took no photos of the boys piano recital, but they did a great job with their first recital and looked very nice all dressed up!

Urban Air

We took the boys to Urban Air a few weeks ago, the big guys (and B) had so much fun with friends.  It wasn't my favorite place, but the kids had a good time.  You can see the big guys flying through the air.

Children's museum

On B's actual birthday, I took him to the Children's Museum.  I took the older kids there often (so much that I just can't stomach going back there frequently anymore), but I don't take B very much.  I figured his birthday was a special day and I could put aside my dislike for the germs there and have fun with him.  And to my surprise, we both had a great day!

LT's first middle school dance

LT had his first middle school dance of the year (yikes!)  We took his buddy with us (and Brian and I chaperoned the pre party NOT the dance).  We got a sitter for the other two and helped serve pizza and clean up.  After the pre party, all the parents were invited to go to the beer garden for the dance portion.  He seemed to have a lot of fun and even requested "Low" by Flo Rida (a favorite in our family).   As you can see, he put on his best attire for the event.

Great Wolf Lodge, for B's birthday

My parents generously gave B a night at the Great Wolf Lodge for his birthday.  While LT and Brian were in Chicago, we went to Great Wolf and had a really fun night.  The last time we went, the little guy pool got pooped in and shut down for the entire time we were there.  And B was too little for the bigger slides.  This time, he was big enough for the other slides and the little pool didn't get shut down.  Win win.
But we also enjoyed the bowling, video arcade, climbing and B's favorite, mini golf.

Ads Lately

A is a busy guy, building, hot glue gunning, playing, swimming, playing piano and recently singing in two choirs.  He's a very social guy, asking for playdates constantly, or just sitting next to me talking.

Ice cream with a buddy while waiting for their older brothers to get out of soccer.
He participated in a triathlon at the end of the summer.

His class does a little birthday celebration for each kid.  B and I were able to go and help celebrate.

But for his party, he wanted 5 friends to spend the night.  So, that's what we did, and it was super fun!

He enjoys nature and being able to collect sticks and rocks and just be a kid.

Quick Mountain Weekend

We went to the mountains a few weeks ago for a quick weekend getaway.  The timing was perfect with the leaves changing.
