Week 41

Not a great pic of these boys, but the green flame that was the end of the science experiment was pretty fun to watch!
B getting "ready" (wearing himself out and getting wet...) for our winter walk up to the fort.

This girl prefers the deepest snow possible.  No paths for her.
The fort is still there and equally fun in the winter.

A favorite mountain activity for this one is walking to get the Summit Daily and cutting out pictures to make a collage.  Today's topic was "favorite food".
Brian and I took the kids on a lot of walks and hikes, but then we would return the kids and dog and head out on an adventure for just the two of us.  Covid dating.

B took a "Rudolph" fun class on Outschool while we were up there.
I took all the kids sledding at Rainbow park one day while Brian was working (Lexi included).  She pulled us down the hill and found a friend to play with.

My parents old house in Wildernest is still there and looks almost exactly the same from the outside.
Making a crystal tree together.

Another date walk.
Just sledding and playing in the snow right outside our place.  LT and I did a lot of training with Lexi to get her to come when asked off leash.

2/3 of the kids upside down for the movie.

B's fashion is top notch.
I went a little overboard this year with gifts.  But it was so pretty under the tree.
Hard to see the pictures of the book your brother is reading, but otherwise pretty snuggly under the pillows.
Christmas eve jammies and excitement.
And a whole lot of Christmas and santa excitement in the morning, complete with only blurry pictures.

The sweetest.  Each kid gave each brother a gift.  They decided what they thought each other brother would like.  A definite highlight of all gift opening this year!  B got LT a stuffed polar bear and Ads a first aid kit.  LT got B a popple stuffed animal and the book "Hatchet" for Ads.  And Ads got LT some socks that say, "Do not disturb, I am gaming" on the bottom and he got B a Pokemon container and pokemon cards.  All hits and no guidance from me!

Christmas was beautiful and so we went to my parents with my brother and nephews (and facetimed with my older brother and family).  My mom built these huge boxes that the kids could ride the train through.

Typical B raided my jewelry drawer and a Pride bin under my bed to dress for the occasion.
These two played some version of an easter egg hunt with cars for a very long time.

And these two chatted about minecraft and assorted other topics.
Ads asked Santa for slippers (he brought two pairs, one for each house).  He absolutely loves these onesies and so I bought him a few extra sets.
Saturday was beautiful again and Brian had organized Christmas with his parents in the afternoon, but before that we took the kids to meet their cousins and mountain bike and play in the rocks and ice.

We rushed home from biking to get ready for Baba's visit, but within minutes some friends, unknowingly, stopped by to drop off a gift for the kids.  It was a little rushed, but a fun day overall!
