it's been a minute

Some photos from the last few months.

Football game with an old friend.

Pizza dinner and xmas decorating at the new house before we'd had furniture etc. moved.

B playing some legos behind moving boxes in the kitchen in the evening after the move.

Designing a game in the middle of mostly unpacked house chaos.

Very into various Nutcrackers this year.

Selfie at the top of the world's highest (altitude) ferris wheel at Santa's Workshop North Pole.

The drive to the mountains right after our first positive covid test to escape our home under renovation so work could continue and we could have a working kitchen during our isolation.

The first floor shower gets more use as a ski locker.

Some skiing and snow fun for B and cousins.

AC doing some light alpine touring.

B's first swim ribbon (for doing well at lessons).

Rainbow Park is great even in the cold of winter.

LT in a school performance of Oliver Twist. His onstage parts were pretty small and he did a lot of the lighting and tech for the show.

Ski Week

I offered to take each kid one week day to ski this winter.  Last week, both Ads and B took me up on my offer and so I took each one separately.  Ads and I went up Tuesday, had a nice dinner and skied a long day the next day (he wanted to ski a long day and do hard runs, but the snow was terrible so we ended up skiing a long day on semi hard runs).

Thursday, my friend and I took these two characters up and spent the night to ski Friday.

Winter Fun

My old running group took a pretty long break with COVID, but we started running together once a week a few weeks ago.  Last week was bitter cold and 6-7 inches of fresh snow, but off we went at 6 AM.  So grateful for these people (2 not pictured).

We have gotten a lot of skiing in this winter.  Between needing (or wanting) to be out of our house on the weekends and a lot of extra days off of school, we have managed to get more skiing in than many past years.  Little B has made a ton of progress and is now going down blues.
Last weekend we were suppose to ski with friends both days, but Ads sliced open his hand (and the temps were pretty miserable).  Saturday afternoon was a bit warmer so LT and I headed over to meet up with them and ski a few runs together.
And we went to our first post COVID apres ski.
