Last ultimate Tournament for the season

LT had his final ultimate tournament last weekend for the season.  It was cold and windy, but this team played hard all day.  Three one and a half hour games straight.

Halloween and Elsie

Halloween weekend was a busy one.  These two carved pumpkins on Friday night.

Saturday, B had a soccer game, then we went to the gardens to visit Elsie's tree, went trick or treating on Colfax with friends, kids had a piano recital and then we had dinner.  

The kids school brought back the annual halloween parade.  Ads and his three buddies were these ride on chickens.

B was a skeleton and I got to spend the afternoon in his class for their party and helping with Halloween activities.

Unfortunately I didn't take a lot of photos on Halloween night, partly because we didn't really have our kids.  LT had a few friends over for dinner and to watch movies and wander around, B went with my brother and nephews and Ads went with a friend.  Brian and I had friends pop in and out all night for a drink.  All in all it was a good weekend, but a busy exhausting one!

Nailed It!

We may need to rent an industrial kitchen the next time these two decide to bake a cake.  It was a lot of fun, a pretty terrible tasting cake and an enormous mess.  Given all the things teens could do, I can't complain.

Piano Recital

 The kids had a piano recital this past weekend and all 3 practiced a lot and put in a lot of effort to get to where they could play these songs!

October Fun

B went to Nature and Science on a Field trip for a unit on Rockets.

We only managed to get to the mountains for 2 nights last month, but the leaves were still stunning.

We squeezed in one last mountain hike.

Lots of birthdays in October, but this party was a hit.

LT had a lot of ultimate practice, but very few games this month.  This tournament was up in Louisville.

And the friendship between these two still runs deep. An 8 hour play date with zero problems called for ice cream at the end!
