A fun Week

A league last weekend was so fun.  Ads and his friends above and Megan and I showed up (not the first time) in the same outfit.

Brian left town for work right after A league, but we managed to have a busy and fun week.  I took these two to see Pets of Fury and to get ice cream.

We had dinner with some good friends at VV.
LT babysat his cousins last night, but the kids all have piano, so we did it at our house.  Ads had a friend spend the night and 3 of the kids wore the same shorts.

Lately

At B league this year, there was a crew of second generation swimmers from various teams.  We had to take a pic of the parents from the old school VV team.
These guys figured out that they can sit in the hot tub AND watch Lego Masters in the mountains.
These two are my kids who enjoy pedicures as much as I do.
LT had his first night driving with his instructor.
VV team about to do the cheer before the A league meet, which all 3 kids swam in this year (B for just the relays).

End of July

Summer seems to fly by faster and faster.  We've been busy with swim team, swim lessons, older kid social activities, playdates, swim playdates, teaching LT to drive and so much more.  Above was a beautiful full double rainbow at Wash Park last week when I was walking with a friend.
LT loves flying his drone, lots of time has been spent flying this in our neighborhood, downtown, and the mountains.

Water Wednesday has been going strong.  Our neighbors and friends set up the slip n slide last week on a hot Wednesday.

We've been trying to enjoy our outdoor space as much as possible, in between heatwaves and huge thunderstorms.

Yard

Our yard has taken a little longer than expected, but is getting close to being done!  We just need the firepit, fountain and side yard completed (hopefully this week)

New Passports

We try and keep the kids passports current, just in case.  Today was our appointment to get them new ones.  The guy was training someone new and so the wait was pretty long, but gave us some time to take photos.

Summer Fun- Number 3

My cousin, her husband and parents and their sweet little 2 year old and 4 month old came into town and my parents hosted a brunch so we could see one another.  Because of COVID, we hadn't met either of her kids.

You can never have enough pool days with friends.  Or enough plaid.

These kids had been WAITING for months to see the Minions Rise of Gru.

Summer Fun- Number 2!

I am the social chair at VV this year, which means that our family gets to spend a lot of time at the pool.  But... it also means we have first grabs at spots for craft nights and other events.  The first craft night were these super cool glowy lava lamps!
Between swim practice and swim lessons, its a good idea to practice lifeguarding on different stands.

I took Lexi, LT and B to the mountains last week for a night before the others joined.  We snuggled inside the first night during a huge rainstorm and then we all headed out for a beautiful hike (only to be rained and hailed on on our way down.)

And LT's friend from his younger years moved to Singapore.  Whenever they visit, we get together, this year we met them up in the mountains for a weekend.

Summer Fun-number 1!

Helping walk the dog since our yard has been under construction.
And such a sweet group of teens and a beautiful sunset after ultimate practice.
