Posing before a graduation party

B got a little dressed up to go to a graduation party this weekend, but the cutest part was him getting himself into the rocking chair and posing for pictures before.

Mt Galbraith

LT got pretty excited about 14ers this year.  So much that he even wrote his magazine article about the 10 most popular.  As we talked about them and learned about them, it became apparent that he might want to do one this summer.  We have a date, with some friends to do one.  In order to make it a bit more successful we decided we should "train".  Yesterday, my dad and I took him to Mt. Galbraith (4.9 mile, moderately challenging hike).  He did so well, no complaints, pretty quick pace and we even had time on the way home to eat ice cream (a tradition after hikes in the Imig home).

Painting

When we had our huge tree removed, we asked them to leave 3 stump disks, one for each kid to paint and put in our new side yard.  Baby B got a start on his today.

Best I could do

The big boys have American Ninja Warrior in the Stanley Marketplace.  We've made a routine of going to class, going out to dinner and then (sometimes) getting ice cream at Sweet Cow.  Its not a cheap night, but it sure is fun.
Sweet Cow has these little bouncy cows that they love playing on.

Never a Dull Moment

When I was in college, the girls I lived with would have "hair touchie" nights.  We would all line up one behind the next and give scalp massages.  Strange, I know.  I was telling the boys this story and they decided it would be fun.  But then it turned into this, which was also fun, and hysterical.

Swim team starts

As I mentioned in my last blog, spring sports and activities aren't quite over yet, but summer activities have begun.  On Wednesday, LT had his first game of his soccer tournament.  They both had swim practice, but LT didn't want to go because he wanted to "rest" for the big game.  Instead he played with B on the slides.

Greek Myth

There's never a dull moment at the end of the school year at the boy's school.  I remember my mom always saying "August and May are so busy", she couldn't be more correct.  Between field trips, end of the year events, plays, spring sports and activities overlapping with summer sports, birthday parties etc. its a busy time (not a bad thing, just busy)!  Today was LT's greek myth play.

A Fun Day with the middle child

I was lucky to be able to go on A's all day field trip today to Bellview Park.  Its one of my favorite places to go with the boys, a huge park with a stream and mud running through the middle.  In the summer there is a train and petting zoo.
The day started off really warm, hot in fact, and the kids were happily enjoying playing in the stream.  Forts and dams were built, fish were caught and "seaglass" (broken beer bottles, were collected.

The weather turned cold in the afternoon (which didn't phase any of the kids), causing many of the moms to put on their kids clothes (me wearing Ads rain coat above).  Melissa and I have so many pictures of M and A, but none of us.  Another friend caught this rare photo.
And an even rarer photo of all the fun mamas who got to go on this trip.

piano man

The big guys are taking piano and, of course, little B likes to be like his brothers. He's figured out how to climb up on the bench and turn on the keyboard by himself.

A tribute to mom

On this Mother's Day there are countless ways I could sing the praises of all Kari does as a mom. But these recent photos really capture what a wonderful mother she is in ways that my words cannot. Here she is with the last child playing in the mud down underneath the trampoline and even laughing and smiling when B throws a big chunk of dirt into the water and splashes them both. We are all lucky to have her!

Mothers Day 2017 hike

The boys took us on our annual mother's day hike this morning.

This year B wanted to hike some of it too, which was fun, until he didn't want to go back in the carrier and needed me to just carry him.  It was so fun to have our family out together.

a few old pics

These are from September of last year when we took some family photos hoping to get some material for a holiday card.
