My dad's brother, his two kids and their families came into town in early July for a day.  As is typical at my parents house, the kids all went to the basement to make a "show".  The show consisted of piano, xylophone, gymnastics and breakdancing.

 

Pancake Breakfast

The pancake breakfast is a teams tradition where all 3 teams are divided with big kids and little kids alike and compete in fun competitions, all after eating breakfast together.  LT definitely took his role as a "big kid" seriously and the little kids absolutely loved him.

Fun Run!

Many years ago, we started a "fun run", basically a mom's run during warm up for swim meets.  It entails running, but also stopping at playgrounds to play like kids.  

 

Ads-different swimming

Ads decided to stay with his year round team this summer.  While its a different schedule and different meets from the other two, he is really doing well and having fun!  We went to Colorado Springs a few weeks ago for a big meet at the Air Force Academy and stayed overnight.  We had a huge group of these kids and parents at dinner and headed to Scheels (a whole experience) before the meet Sunday.

Its become sort of a tradition that when we swim meets at Central Park, the moms head out on a "fun run" before the meet.  This year was a bigger group!

LTs birthday

Unfortunately, LTs birthday fell in the midst of a lot going on.  End of senior year (and school for the younger two), start of swim meets, and grandpa wasn't doing well.  We did go to sushi as a family and then came home for ice cream cake.
