2 nights out

As parents, we rarely go out.  However, we had tickets to see Lauryn Hill on Wednesday night this week and Dear Evan Hansen next Thursday.  Unfortunately, my mom had to fly out suddenly this week and my parents couldn't use their Dear Evan Hansen tickets.  So, we switched, they are going to use ours next Thursday and we used their tickets this past Tuesday.  It was a lot going out two nights in a row, to quite different events, but it was also nice to have some time together.  And if you haven't seen Dear Evan Hansen...Go.  Go whenever you have the chance.

My parents have 6th row season tickets to the DCPA.  It was really a different experience to sit so close and literally see the spit coming out of the actors mouths.
And the next night we headed to Lauryn Hill at Red Rocks.  Totally different vibe, but fun to see friends, be outside and enjoy Red Rocks.  We left a little after 10 and Lauryn still hadn't come on.  I heard she didn't actually come on until after 11, which was a bummer, but still a fun night.

Demolition

We've been checking in on our house most days.  Its been fun to see the progress.  So far so good.  They said they would start last Monday, and they did.  They said it would take about a week to demo, and so far it looks like they're on schedule.

Lately

I've been lazy (or maybe too busy, or maybe both) lately and decided to just combine a bunch of our "lately" photos.  B wanted to wear his bike helmet to the grocery store the other day, so naturally I let him.
Mom and these two went to Thomas the Train last Sunday.

If this isn't a last kid, I don't know what is.  Leaving the beer garden, with a fat lip, ice cream and no shoes.
I took these two to the Wings Over the Rockies museum, its still pretty sad and underfunded, but we had 45 minutes of fun nonetheless.

B tripped over a chair leg and knocked his front tooth back while at our friends happy hour last week.  After consulting with a ER Dr. who was a friend of a friend and happened to be there as well as our dentist, it was decided we didn't need to be seen until the next morning.  I took him in the next day and they did an x-ray and lucky for him (and us!) the tooth itself is OK.  We may or may not have a gray or brown tooth in our future (or green as B wants).
We moved!  For a year (or maybe less).  I highly recommend Movemasters for any impending moves you might have.
We had a big demolition party the night before we moved, but we let these two little ones get a head start before the big kids all moved in.
And B.  Just B.

Garage Sale

Our friends suggested hosting a two family garage sale and the boys jumped on the idea.  It was perfect timing (in theory), given our impending move.  We managed to gather nearly a room full of stuff and hauled it over to their house last Sunday.  Unfortunately (and we didn't know), Sunday isn't the garage sale day.  Friday and Saturday are the days.  It wasn't very successful, but we did manage to sell a few things and have some fun!  Below, LT is sporting some of the items that didn't sell yelling "Everything left is $1!) in the middle of the street.  Some other highlights, above, Candace dressed in a very well loved banana costume, A and his friend dressed up and put on a "show" on the corner and charged 25 cents, the boys put on a variety of silly outfits and scooted around the block advertising their sale.  It was an experience, and after it was done, I loaded everything up and dropped it at Goodwill, so its truly out of our house!

Best Dentist

We lucked out in the pediatric dentist department (besides the long drive).  I happened to meet Dr. Sean in a spin class (not realizing he was married to someone I already liked and had met in baby yoga).  We all became fast friends, but he also became our dentist, quickly.  I think LT was 18 months and I didn't realize I should have already taken him in by that point.  He has now seen each kid, every 6 months of their lives.  He's thorough, funny and gives out great schwagg.  Plus he has three boys who are our boys buddies, so its more like seeing a friend.

He got them all to smile by telling them to say, "poop".  It worked.

Canvas and Cocktails

With our move/remodel, we have been getting ride of So. Much. Stuff.  And it feels so good.  A few things are hard to get rid of, but I figured with the blog, I could keep them alive despite the tossing.  The boys and I went to Canvas and Cocktails one day and they did these Harry Potter scenes.

And when B was a tiny baby I went with some friends and did this one of him.  I should have used black and white, I'd probably have kept it.
