Ski Days 16-18

The younger kids didn't have school last Thursday or Friday (and LT was in St Louis for robotics), so we took advantage and went up to ski.  We skied Copper Thursday, Beaver Creek (all of our favorite), Friday and then Brian and Ads went and met some friends at Breck Saturday.  Unfortunately, I was out of passes to ski that mountain, but B and I had a lot of fun just hanging at our place up there.
Despite our kids buys lives right now, we have managed to ski between 16 and 18 days each.  And B has made so much progress this year which makes skiing as a family so much fun.

A Sunday with B

B and I got some extra one-on-one time last week while Kar and Ads were on their middle middle adventure and LT was doing teenager things. We finished a puzzle, practiced football, created a football stadium, and had a late night (okay 7PM but late for us) dance party in the basement. 10/10 would do again.

Castle Field Trip

I drove on B's field trip to the Glen Eyrie Castle in Colorado Springs.

Walkout

Much of LT's high school walked out of class yesterday and marched downtown to the Capitol in support of legislative action around gun control. A fellow student died in the hospital on Wednesday after being shot near the school a few weeks ago,  which was one of multiple incidents of gun related violence and threats this year.

Middle Middle Child Date

Ads and I try and do a middle middle child date at least once a year (typically an overnight ski date).  I took him up Sunday and out to dinner (he's my kid that appreciates good food) and skied the next day.  He really wanted to get the elk.  I was a little nervous because it was pricy, but he devoured it!
