Paris- Day 5

We debated whether it was worth the treck out to Versaille, and ultimately decided since we were so close, it was worth it.  We took the train out there and it was well worth the effort.  Not only did we have a lot of background already from the Louvre Tour, but the grounds were so fun to explore by renting these electric golf carts.  It ended up being a non traditional, yet perfect Thanksgiving day.

And had made reservations at the yummiest Argentinian restaurant in the neighborhood we were staying in.

Paris- Day 4

I booked a private (this time, it was private) tour of the Louvre, which was worth every penny.  Not only was the tour guide incredibly knowledgeable, she made it fun for the kids and made the enormous museum less overwhelming.  I think we all learned so much and had a fun time while doing so.  I didn't take many pictures, but B did want to take a few of the Mona Lisa.

And like most days there, we spent a lot of time over long meals.  B usually drawing and the rest of us talking.
We walked a ton while we were there.  This was the cute little neighborhood we stayed in.  The boys, on the freezing cold night, convinced us to let them get ice cream.

Paris- Day 3

Day 3 was a big one.  Luckily the weather wasn't rainy, but it was VERY windy and cold.  I booked a "private" tour for the Eiffel Tower, which basically meant that all the tickets to the top of the tower were sold our for the day, so we met a random tour guide who gave us a little history of the tower as he walked us to the elevators to go up.  Then we were on our own.  Not loving heights myself, I went to the mid level and the boys went to the top for the full experience (I have done this a few times before, so I didn't feel the need to).

Afterwards we walked to the Arc de Triumph and checked out the views of the tower along the way.

We had reservations for a Seine Cruise that evening with some friends who were also in Paris.  However, we had some time and had bought a Paris pass allowing us entry to most museums.  We stopped at the Aquarium on our way to the cruise, which ended up being a highlight for B.  No pictures taken.

The cruise was also chilly, but these two buddies had a great time regardless.

Paris-Day 2

Day 2 in Paris was by far our worst weather day.  Honestly, the rest of the week didn't look great and so we just went ahead and took a little train up to Monte Marte.  The rain was relentless though, the views were pretty cloudy and most of the artists were not out.  Nevertheless, we had a good day, spending a good portion indoors eating french food and just hanging out.
