Happy 3rd birthday Elsie

We spent Elsie's birthday continuing the traditions we started when she died, going to the gardens to see her tree and releasing balloons with notes to her.  Above is a boat that my nephew, A and L built while at the gardens, out of sticks and a leaf.

This is the first year B has been able to release his own balloon.

And below are a few pictures my cousin took while she was in town, both at the gardens and at a family dinner.

Fried Chicken, Croissants and Blippi

A few years ago, Brian made some yummy chicken strips during a Broncos game.  We have tried to make it a tradition, but its been a few years since he made them.  This year, we looked at the calendar of games and put the Oct 22nd game on the calendar (the first one we didn't have plans during).  Brian said to me, "I bought way too much chicken, but its OK, I can take it for lunch tomorrow".  Turns out the boys ate every last bit of it.  And then moved onto croissants, all while watching Blimpi with B (after the game was boring).

6 boys

We had some friends over for dinner the other night and I was quickly able to snap a picture of all 6 of them eating.

Sunflower Farm

I didn't go on the annual field trip to Sunflower Farm this past week, but several parents who did go, sent me these cute pics of all the fun the kids had.

Happy Birthday to Dump Truck

On our way to the pumpkin patch, B just started singing Happy Birthday to all the trucks he saw along the way.  He sang the whole way there and I had A take this video after he'd been singing for awhile.

Playing Hookie

A and I were chatting before school today and he asked when we could go to a pumpkin patch.  I looked at my calendar and realized that today was my only relatively free day (he had school and B had gymnastics, but nothing we "had" to be at).  LT decided he wanted to go to school so we dropped him off and headed to Rock Creek for the morning.

Randoms from the last few months

B chasing a squirrel at the park.

Making friends and enjoying the playground at the pool.

Ice cream bar!

More ice cream!

LT's birthday dinner at Benihana dinner with friends.

Checking out the heavy equipment used to demo the back yard.

B smiles and points with joy when he sees a bus while at the coffee shop in his jammies.

While at the playground he saw a mom playing ball with her kid and, being a fan of balls, he took off running to go play with them. Luckily they were nice and let him join in for a few minutes to get his fix.

Enjoying the final days of the old yard including the big mud pit down underneath the trampoline.

First swim meet of the summer and the boys helped me with my event number turning duties in between their races.

At White Fence Farm.

LT's soccer team in the spring.

B helped shop for outdoor furniture for the new yard by checking out the water features at one store.

B was thrilled to get to see a broken down USPS van get towed.
