Birthday season has begun. Last Sunday was Seth's first birthday party and although LT is only 10 1/2 months some of his little friends are a bit older and the wave of 1st birthdays has started. Maike's had to be postponed due to baby illness but will be held be soon and J-Faz and Mia are not far behind.
Seth (at left) was napping for the first hour of his own party. There are some benefits to being a baby!
The invitation didn't say "baby formal" or anything and none of the parents discussed it beforehand. However, apparently most of us decided it would be appropriate to dress up the little ones - there were lots of cute little dresses and button down shirts.
Mia had to check out the tag on LT's 'good' shirt to make sure it was acceptable.
Once Mia approved of LT's outfit they could hang out together (while staying somewhat aloof, of course).
Z, always the life of the party, tried to drink beer from the bottom of the bottle. I trust Albert, his dad, will show him the proper way to do this when the time is right.
Sofia, Z and LT playing on the musical play table.
LT loves to play with doors and gates and it turns out that Mia likes the same stuff.
They played 'door' for a while - open, close, in, out, open, close, etc. Plus the occasional ear tug for good measure.
Z got his first taste of cake. The kid likes just about all food including pickles so it was no surprise that he enjoyed the cake.
Lot's more pictures of Sethers' party curtsy of Sofia (well ok, Sofia's mom).
