Making My First "balemtimes"

I am not a huge fan of the hallmarking of holidays and all the junk that comes along with them. When I hadn't heard anything about LTs school exchanging valentines, I was a bit relieved. However, just yesterday, 3 days before his class, we were notified that, in fact, he needed to bring one for each child. I wasn't about to go buy Spongebob or Elmo valentines just to waste paper. But... I did decide that I would let LT create an art project (still wasting, yes I realize, but more fun). I have to admit that watching his eyes light up as he made his "balemtimes" was a pretty cute moment. So, my anger turned into a fun time as a mama.
