AZ '12

Early in May we took what has become an annual trip to Arizona. It's probably not what Kari and I would have done for vacation before the boys came along but it's just about perfect for the whole family. I didn't take my "big camera" this year so all we've got is photos from our phones.

Cinnamon roles and lemon poppy seed muffins for breakfast. What's not to love about vacation?

This year we went to the Rustler’s Rooste for the first time. The best way I can think to describe it is as Casa Bonita meets a steakhouse. There was a huge slide inside (LT on the top and Adler on the bottom in photos above) as well as tons of other things to entertain kids. LT's sporting his menu hat above and Kari was even brave enough to let the balloon animal guy make an airplane for LT and a trash truck for Adler.

And of course there was the resort lobby grill where we often dinned. LT colored, did connect the dots and played tick-tack-toe while Adler destroyed the crayons.

We did a lot of swimming, a lot, but didn't get any photos of it. The pools weren't the only place to cool down though and I did get these shots of the boys playing in the fountains.

Not sure if this is a smile or a scowl.

Joe and Z were there too for part of the time and all the boys had a great time together.

Adler with his little bear.

On our way home Papa picked us up from the airport and took us to dinner at Oblio's. Here LT is looking longingly at the old table arcade game they have.
