A Blizzard, Stitches and other fun

Last weekend was the biggest snowstorm Denver has had in our boys lives.  We used Sunday to build leprechaun traps, cook and bake, do art projects and pick up the house.
Its Lexi's ideal weather.
B helped me make lasagna and lentil soup.
And then right at the height of the storm, B accidentally ran into the corner of the wall.  It was clear immediately that we needed to go get stitches.  Honestly, it was a pretty big adventure trying to get there.  We had to dig out of the alley (and ended up taking our shovel).  Once we were at the hospital, things were smooth.  They put this litocane cream on B's head, covered it, gave him a popsicle and we just sat for 45 minutes while he watched TV.
The Dr. came in after 45 minutes, stitched him up (4 stitches), and we were on our way home.  B did great.  The anxiety was much worse than the actual visit.  They put in disolvable stitches, so we don't even need to go back!

Monday was a snow day!  We built forts outside and did lots of perler beads inside.

Tuesday, B's school was canceled and the boys had a late start.  I signed B up for a quick 30 minute St Patricks day online class where he made rainbow necklaces.
Tuesday night, we made leprechaun toothpaste, and as seen below, the teen was unimpressed.

Our neighbor brought over a coloring sheet for B.  And his new soccer uniform arrived, which he immediately put on and wore (and slept in) proudly.

I had my second covid vaccine Friday and so we all went up to the mountains for the weekend.  We watched a lot of Nailed It, , went in the hot tub, took Lexi on a walk and did some art projects.  One of B's favorite things to do up there is to get the Summit Daily newspaper and cut out pictures to make collages.
