Week 1- year 2

This week didn't feel busy, but when I look back at the photos, it was actually a more lively week.  We were in the mountains last last weekend and had a friends annual fundraiser.  It was really nice to be able to include the kids and watch from home (despite missing seeing everyone in person).  Its typically a kid free evening, but the kids joined from the comfort of the couch and made mocktails.

5th graders at a the boys school has a tradition of performing a play (LT was in Peter Pan 2 years ago).  Because of COVID, things have to look different.  They are still doing a play (this year is Shrek), but its going to be recorded and online.  Each cohort will perform their own version of Shrek, so it will be all the 3rd, 4th and 5th graders (though they gave the 5th graders first choice on parts and they were assigned the larger parts.  Ads is Farkwad).  These two wanted to practice in person (which amounted to all of 5 minutes of actual line memorization, but a lot of fun getting ice cream and just chatting.)

Lexi got a BIG haircut (not what we asked for) and then came home with a double ear infection.  She is getting better quickly though.
Friday we went to the Botanic Gardens.
We celebrated my nephews 4th birthday in the backyard with pizza, cake and Amazing Dave (a magician who performed at Casa Bonita in the 80s and 90s).

Our oldest nephew has been competing in a pretty big swim meet this weekend and we were able to livestream it on YouTube.
And today we spent exploring parks and biking with our cousins.
