not the typical summer

Summer has been a little different this year what with this whole global pandemic thing. But we've tried to keep ourselves relatively safe and health and make the most of it at the same time. Here are some moments from this summer.
Learning the ride a peddle bike (or avoiding doing so) in the alley behind the house. Scootering and other activities in the parking lot area in front of the mountain house. Short hikes to visit our stick fort, see the little bridges, or sit and eat the treat used to bribe everyone to go on a hike at all. Socially distanced swim practice and limited admission reservation only time at the pool. Zoo visit by reservation only several weeks in advance. A morning trail run while the kids watched some shows to celebrate our 15th anniversary. Picking up take-out for Father's day at Little India where we were clearly not the only ones that had that idea for the Sunday dinner (I laid low in the back room for longer than I care to admit waiting for an opportune time to find and get our order). Family exercise inside or out in a variety of forms. Cooking and art.
