moments from the endish of April

Kari got B a (school sized) package of plastic dinosaurs in dirt/rock eggs that can be excavated. A brother was happy to help with a few of the excavations.

We've added wine bottles and holiday themed paper plates to the items used as supplemental workout equipment for home workouts taken over zoom or instagram. Peanut butter jars worked okay for weights but wine bottles are extra classy.

Food coloring with baking soda and vinegar remains the number one science project. Lucky for him that his mom came up with the idea and is willing to do it over and over and over.

One morning B woke up early and after flopping around in bed for an hour or so Kari finally sent him away (not the first time this has happened). He came downstairs around 6:15am and burst into my office with this paper he'd decorated and told me he wanted help finishing the card for his mom that said, "I love sleeping." The irony seemed to be lost on him.

We continue to spend lots of time in the backyard.

As the littlest one, you sometimes have to take care of your own needs.

B has a special bond with our next door neighbor and will rush outside and climb up just to chat with her over the fence.

The Cuisenaire Rods came out for one of the activities that Kari put together for B. But Ads got into them as well (so did I, if we're being honest).

B rarely sits in a normal way. He's often upside down or underneath or behind a cushion.

Ads has been  video calling grandparents almost daily and, inspired by the art videos we've been doing as a family, he's been giving them drawing lessons during his calls. B apparently wants to emulate his big brother and took it upon himself to do the same. Here he is giving Papa a drawing lesson, which is adorable but also hilarious.
