The company where I've worked for fifteen years recently went public. I was a very early employee but the company was an acquired by private equity a few years ago and as a result I no longer had any equity. So it wasn't the financial windfall for me that's popularly associated with an IPO. But I did get to go to NYC and be on the floor of the NYSE for the event, which was quite the experience.
