boys will be boys

We had a boys night recently so, of course, right after dinner we headed out to Tennyson Street to get some ice cream. I managed to talk the boys into standing together long enough to snap a the photo above with my phone. They really wanted to stand on the stump together which took a while to coordinate. 

Unfortunately for us, the the Bookery Nook was closed by the time we got there. We quickly adjusted our plans and headed down the street to Parisi but, despite the summer like weather in March, they hadn't started serving ice cream yet. We salvaged our trip with some little chocolate treats from Parisi. 

On the way home we stopped and played in the church parking lot. The boys found a trash bag and filled it with leaves and other junk. Once the bag was full, Adler insisted on "dumpstering" the bag himself. Who knew trash could be so fun? I'll have to figure out how to channel that energy into cleaning up our own yard.
