May fun

This weekend has been beautiful weather, ranging from 65-80 degrees, sunny and perfect! LT and I enjoyed it by playing with lots of friends. But first, to go anywhere, you have to be safe and wear your safety helmet at all times in the car. This is LT driving all the way to Stapleton (holding the large hat on his head the entire way there and home, and for that matter everywhere we have gone this weekend in the car).

We met my friend Roxanne and her two kids at Central Park in Stapleton on Friday afternoon. LT had a chance to practice his patience being a big brother to Ambrose (7 months). Ambrose stole LTs snacks before I even realized what was happening. For those of you who remember, LT ate pretty much nothing except milk until he was over a year. He never grabbed food from us, just wasn't interested and so I wasn't prepared for a 7 month old to attempt taking a bite out of a bar filled with nuts! Luckily I turned around just in time. LT had no problem with Ambrose taking his food.

LT held his hand and sat quietly with him on the bench (LT loves babies!)
LT just laughed when Ambrose attempted to steal his hat! I think he's ready to have a little brother.
LT and Isis had a great time holding hands and frolicking around the park in the warm sun. Until, they found the disgusting, charcoal filled firepit which caught both their interest. They both left covered is sut and ready for long baths. We opted for getting pizza with everyone rather than baths! More fun, right?
We went to an old Park Hill favorite (unfortunately neither Brian or I lived in Park Hill when Oblios came into existence, but we enjoy it nonetheless. Ryan Hunter (below) is a friend of Brian's from work (although they no longer work together). He and his family make an Oblio's stop every Friday night and this past Friday was no exception. It was fun to run into their family.

My good friend Debbie is a week overdue with her first baby. In order to keep her distracted, Emily and I planned a brunch with her this morning with our two toddlers. Riley and Emily are nicely sitting and eating (I think this is taken at the point LT tried to escape the restaurant and make a break for the parking lot, and/or was opening jelly packets and smooshing them all over the seats and me...)On our way home from brunch, we met Bri at the Centennial Playground (this is the school that I taught 4th and 5th grade at with Renee, Sofi and Ofelia's mom), however I had never seen the toddler playground! LT ran straight past the toddler section and straight to the older kid playground.
But soon made his way back to the orange truck in the toddler part. It's been a perfect weekend so far, and we still have Mia's 2nd birthday party this afternoon! More pictures from that soon...
