summer club swimming '22

B joined his two older brothers on the swim team this summer. He did pretty well for a six-year-old even finishing some longer races like the 100 IM and free despite the classic little kid "jellyfish dive" and some rather inefficient strokes.  But he really excelled in the area of thinking he was a big kid and hanging out with the upper division, coaches, and life guards.

LT's season cumulated at the state meet (in the late afternoon/evening) where he swam free in the medley relay and touched out the kid in the next lane to win. Granted, summer club swimming doesn't have the top tier competition (especially at the older ages) but winning a state event is still pretty good in my book. Their free relay placed second and in individual events he placed 9th, 6th, and 9th in 50 free, 100 breast, and 100 free respectively.
