Week 3

This strange life has become somewhat of a new normal.  Its obviously not the way the kids envisioned their spring going, but its become the way it is.  And its OK.  This week was supposed to be spring break.  We would have been in Mexico.  This also meant, there was no school (except our amazing Alicia who "meets" with the kids for an hour each morning to connect.  On nice days, we spent a lot of time outdoors.  On the colder days at the end of this week, we did more indoor stuff.  But, we have a routine and that feels good.  Its not perfect and it fluctuates everyday, but we are slowly getting down a system that works, at least for now.  All 3 boys have found their love of Lego again.  B, both duplo and small Lego.  LT and Ads full Lego engagement.  We even have a new key holder made out of Lego (to hold those keys that will stay there for the foreseeable future).

Cooking together has become a multiple time/day activity.  Brian and I have enjoyed cooking together, and recently Ads has really enjoyed cooking with Brian.
This picture is horrible, but it has a sweet story.  Each day Alicia meets with the kids and chooses a family who gets to "share".  This day was our family's day and the boys both shared Lego inventions they had designed.  The other kids on the zoom call make guesses of what their surprise share could be and then it is displayed once the others give up, or guess correctly.
We made sugar cube ice castles.

And continued our lunch doodling.
