Week 2, social distancing/homeschooling

Ups and Downs, ups and downs.  Our house isn't perfect, but we are embracing the current situation.  Emotionally, we all have our breakdowns, but we also have had so much fun with this slower paced, no car lifestyle.  Brian and I have been watching Schitts Creek at night and cringe when large groups get together, or when people hug or shake hands.  Two weeks ago, we were doing the same things, but somehow that feels like a lifetime ago.  Will we ever get back to that?  Probably, hopefully.  Until then, we are just grateful for what we have, scared for what is going on around us and sitting with the sadness and love.  It can't be changed at the moment.  Here are a few moments from our last week (there is a lot going on here at all times that can't be captured, 90% of which is jumping on the trampoline).
 Science exploration.
 Tons of drawing/doodling, coloring.

 Some math for B.
 Lots of baking!

 Large scale sidewalk chalk.
 Magnets!  Science!

 Sewing.
 Labo!
 Water fun.
Looking at photo albums of moms life in Nepal and mom and dad's honeymoon in Kenya.
So grateful these munchkins have each other through this.
 Math!
 Pre-reading.
 More baking.
These two really love their time together snuggled up.  I find them like this most mornings.
This week is spring break.  Without knowing, B put on his swimsuit and sandals on the morning we were supposed to fly to Mexico.  Luckily it was a beautiful day here in Denver.
We planted our cold weather veggies and plants.  Our life was so busy before that often I would end up planting the garden.  It was fun to teach them and let them help this year.  We have lettuce, pansies, carrots, beets, onions, and snap peas so far.
