Brian and I were lucky enough to climb Mt Bierdstadt over Labor Day weekend. We left our house at 4:30 to get to the trailhead by 6. Within minutes of the parking lot is this big lake and there were two moose! One bathing in the lake and one on the side. Its hard to see in the picture.
About halfway up were maybe 30 mountain goats criss crossing the trail. They were so close.
Brian summited his first 14er!
We ran into a few friends from my bookclub.
And our friends that we were supposed to climb with, but got a later start than they were hoping.
