More from Arizona

It took me a little longer than Kari to get my pictures from our (now annual) Spring trip to Arizona. I've got a lot of pictures. All the ones below and some good ones on flickr too.

LT on the flight down with his DVD and orange juice.

Adler having some water and causing trouble while his mom and dad try and enjoy some coffee.

Teamwork.

There was lots of swimming.

And tubes.
More swimming.

And we did lots of running.

Playing in the "abua" (trying to say "agua") fountains.

More running.

Some relaxing in the sun.

"I don't know?"

LT makes a pretty good beach bum.

Smiles!

Adler was obsessed with looking for ducks (he's showing me one above), birds, trashcans and trucks. He now calls all trucks "beep beeps" because he heard one beeping when it went into reverse.

The family.

Adler running around in his standard outfit of sunglasses, sandals and a diaper.

Not to be outdone by his brother in the fashion department - one night LT decided to wear two pairs of sunglasses and two pairs of goggles to dinner.

And then feel asleep almost immediately in the car wearing the whole getup.

Drinks before dinner.

Sumo practice.

Adler and I enjoying the morning.

LT "helping" his brother get some water.

LT on the airport bus on the way home carrying his little backpack.

Adler having an airport lunch.

Again, there are a few more pictures on flickr:

Hailie gets a brace

Hailie tore her ACL several months ago. Normally, this is surgically repaired. However, due to a pretty severe heart arithmia she has as well as a bad case of pneumonia, she's not a good candidate for surgery. We thought we would just see how she did with just pain medicine, but after months, she is still hobbling around and seems sad about having a hurt leg. Our vet recommended looking into an orthopedist who builds custom braces for dogs. Hailie and I met with her today (I was a bit skeptical about seeing this doggie orthopedist, but after spending nearly two hours with her, and watching other dogs with their braces, I am convinced this is a good option for us). In order to make the brace, they had to do a cast mold of her leg first (as well as many other tests). She wasn't the happiest of dogs getting this done, but she did really well.

LTs first birthday celebration

I was the aid in LTs Jefco school yesterday. Its a little early, but because school has ended by his actual birthday, we decided to take cupcakes for snack and celebrate it at school.
We made (as requested by LT), vanilla bean cupcakes with vanilla butter cream frosting. I normally try to avoid dyes in food, but we decided to make fish cupcakes with M and M scales and lips and they were really much cuter with regular dye as opposed to natural dyes.
LT and his buddy Jade right before digging into the cupcakes.

Little Men at Little Man

We went to get ice cream the other day at Little Man Ice Cream. They have the most amazing butterscotch ice cream. Yum!

LTs graduation

So, technically, LT isn't graduating to a Frog from the Poliwog class he has been in (hes going to be a Poliwog again next year), but they had their "graduation"ceremony from Poliwog to Frog today. Seriously cute! Each kid climbed up the stairs, slid down the slide and received their diploma from teacher Sarah.

Just the phone Arizona pictures

As usual, Bri takes the better pictures (assuming he has his big camera). Here is the tip of the iceberg, and the crappy shots from my phone camera.

The first morning we got there, Adler woke up a lot earlier than LT. After entertaining him in the hotel for as long as possible, we walked to the coffee shop at the resort. Posing with the ash tray, always good to see your 20 month old next to ash trays and cigarette butts.
LT joined us a little later and took to chair yoga. Early morning downward dog anyone?
We were in Arizona for mothers day. Bri took Adler early and picked out some flowers for me while LT and I slept in a bit. Then we went out for a hike on South Mountain and Adler so kindly stopped along the trail to pick the perfect rock to give me as a mothers day gift. How sweet, really, its what I always wanted!
And LT, who knows what he was doing, being goofy as usual probably, but when I looked at this picture, it looks as if he's flashing gang signs. He can't be too dangerous in his spiderman sunglasses, pink crocs and an oversized Mickey Mouse Disneyland shirt.
Our boys just love Arizona and our time there each spring. They are the happiest running around free, exploring all there is to see and just being boys.
Sadly we had to come home, but luckily for two boys, taking a car, a bus, a plane, a train, another bus and another car can be pretty fun too. They were incredible travelers.

And... as he's done in the past, LT fell asleep on the bump of the landing in Denver.
