A playdate, snuggles and a cute dog

A good friend of mine got her second covid vaccine and was extremely sick.  So sick she couldn't take her kids to school.  I took her daughter to school and then played with her and B in her backyard after school.  She's a pretty incredible athlete, doing flips off the trapeze bar, able to swing alone as high as possible, skiing blacks.  B, meanwhile floundered on his belly on the swing.

Tuesday nights are Brian and my "date" night right now so the big kids put B to bed (each one reads him a story and then they listen to one on audible while he falls asleep.

And Lexi.

 

First week of 2021

We skied a 3rd day earlier this week and B made some huge improvements yet again.  

The big kids had online school this week, but B was in person again.  Keeping him entertained (afterschool) and away from his brothers while they are home is always a challenge, but we managed with science, games, art and playdates.

LT really loves Lexi when she's brushed and has taken it upon himself to brush her several times a week.

B had his new bed delivered Thursday, so Lexi came with me to pick B up from school.

PE for LT benefitted B while he waited for his buddy to come play.

Friday for choice for Ads was making snow globes.  Naturally B wanted to make one so he joined in the class.

Storytime chess has quickly become a favorite around here.

We finally had time to get the new sewing machine out and practice.

B wanted his hair combed and dried last night and then a picture taken.  Of course the pic is pretty terrible, but the hair was cute. 

 

Day 2

B had a little trouble remembering how to ski his first day this year, but turned a corner today and had a great day!  

End of the day smiles and ready for a few marshmallows.

2 months!

We've had this little girl for 2 months now.  Ads takes a picture with her each month on the 29th to show how much she has grown.  She went to the groomer for the first time this week, so she is not only bigger, but also more poodle looking.

 

A Winter Walk

We've spent a good portion of the kids break up in the mountains, which means lots of outdoor time.  We took the kids for a winter walk yesterday, but between Lexi and B (both being very distracted playing in the snow), it was a long time out, with a short (ish) distance covered.

Baba generously gave B the My Little Pony crystal palace he has wanted for awhile.

Its a NEW YEAR!

While nothing is going to change anytime soon, it sure felt good to celebrate the start of a new year.  A new president, the hopes of all being vaccinated in the coming year, maybe traveling towards the end of the year?  So many things to, hopefully, look forward to doing.  We celebrated the same way we always do, with fondue and friends, though this time on zoom.  Not ideal, but the best way to do it right now.  Not pictured is grandma's birthday celebration also on Lets Roam.
