More pool time

These two cuties often play before or after practice.

I didn't get a photo of our group at ladies day, but as is usual, Megan and I accidentally showed up in the same suit and we had her sister (who was in town) join us this year.

 

My birthday

It was so wonderful to spend my birthday in the mountains.  Friday night we went out to dinner with two other families (and 5 of the 14 of us had birthdays that same week!), Saturday morning we woke up and LTs friend, Brian and I went for a trail run.  And that evening we went to dinner with our really good family friends (the only photo taken of all of this was the one above).  

The magical part though was the sky when we got back to our place.  These pictures don't do it justice, but it was pretty incredible!

I didn't get any great photos this year and no one got any big awards, but the banquet was a fun event nonetheless.

My college friend sent me a text months ago, "Do you want to climb Bierdstadt with me on July 5?"  Of course my answer was yes, honestly not thinking about it being the day after the 4th.  I mentioned it to the big kids and they both immediately wanted to join.  And then Landon got two friends to join and before we knew it, we were a big group in our tiny mountain place for the 4th of July weekend.  But it was so fun!  We went to the parade in Vail, the big kids adventured in the afternoon and then I put them to bed early and off we went at 4:30 AM July 5 to climb Bierdstadt.  

Unfortunately, my friend wanted to start later than we did, so we only saw her on the trail on our way down, but it was a fun day nonetheless!
