Little India

LT likes the Tandoori Chicken, which he calls "red chicken." I like Chicken Tikka myself, which some people say is basically just Indian chicken fajitas.

Little Chef

Adler did a baking unit at school a while back and came home with a chefs hat and class recipe book. He was very attached to both for a while and they were required materials for just about any project around the house including some things not baking related.

Just the four of us

Sleepover

Right before the new year LT had his first ever sleepovers alone. First he went to his buddy Z's house and a few days Z came with us for a night.

As I was saying goodbye the first night I took a photo to commemorate the milestone in his little life. As you can see from the two of them making faces for the camera, he didn't take moment as seriously as I did.

Home Office

Some days in the ol' home office are more productive than others (photo taken from the computer camera using Mac's Photo Booth app).

Stock Show and Rodeo

It was no real surprise that the tractors with front loader shovels were a highlight for the boys during a recent trip to the National Western Stock Show.

LT watched the rodeo patently for a while but never seemed to get into it much.

Adler was more interested but, just like his mom, thought the pyrotechnics  music and other theatrics were just too loud.

Yet somehow he fell asleep during it all.  Which is pretty amazing, if you ask me, because it was really darn loud and stimulating. The video below doesn't really even do it justice.

I was a little surprised that they opened the rodeo with Gangnam Style but I guess it is the most popular song in the history of the world or something like that. Even LT and Alder like it as the other video below shows, which is from a couple months ago when they were teaching themselves the dance moves from watching the video on youtube.

Ski Lessons

LT and his buddy Kaden did ski lessons together every Saturday in January. On the last day they had the "Scooter Olympics" where did a little race course. I took a little video of the two of them doing the race. LT is first followed by Kaden, who was by far the fastest one in their class. Though also the only one to crash at the finish line.

Papa Time

Thanks to Papa for taking a few photos while hanging out with Adler yesterday. Adler is just starting to like the idea of his push bike. And what better place to ride to than the nearby park where they've been doing road construction since we moved over here. He loves all the construction equipment but doesn't like the noise, which is why he's covering his ears while watching.
