Last Night for White Fence Farm

We've been to this place for numerous birthdays and the kids have fond memories of all the activities (random slide through the bar area, petting zoo, playhouse outside, carriage rides etc), but sadly the place is closing.  We decided to make one last trip there and it was worth the very long wait.

Tradition

I've made these holiday treats since LT was probably 2.  B really caught the hang of it this year!

Last Night

Often our reservations for dinner weren't until 8 or later (sometimes 9:30).  We would all meet in the sports bar beforehand and the kids would play pool or foosball (B watched shows so as not to ruin the big kids games and so that the adults could talk).
On our last night with most of us still there, we went to a Benihana type restaurant where they cook hibachi on a stove right in front of you.  We had been earlier in the week, and it was some of the better food we had there.

Cenote

There are a few natural cenotes on the property.  This small one is hidden off the beaten path, but my cousin took us to swim in it.  They are chilly, but the kids could have spent a day playing in it.
I love this picture so much.

The big guys made a large fishing rod and so naturally B made one his size to fish with.

Swim Lessons

B has been taking swim lessons once a week this fall.  Its difficult to get pictures of him there because, even though they are private lessons, there are so many other kids in the pool.  I don't want to be that weirdo who's photographing kids so I have avoided them.  But, I do wish I had a video because he's swimming.  Today he swam nearly 8 feet from a step to his teacher.  He's also able to dive to the bottom to retrieve items.  He's come a long way given that the first few times he screamed and cried even getting in the water.  Today he got out and said, "Its over?  But that was fun!"  Swimming everyday in Mexico gave him a lot of confidence and practice and he's over that tough hurdle now.

More from Mexico

These guys went down to the beach each afternoon and created a different sand castle each day.  This was their favorite.

The resort had many options for dining.  This particular night we went to Brazilian food where they cut huge chunks of meat off of sticks.

These guys must have gotten a hold of my camera.

I am so lucky that we all get along so well and have stayed in contact even after our grandmother passed away.

Swimming in Mexico

The resort we stayed at was huge.  There was a pretty decent sized water park that had great slides for B and LT.  Unfortunately A was too big for the little ones and too small for the big ones, but he had fun anyway.
My cousin's son is just a few months older than A and these two became fast friends.  It was hard to say goodbye.
