Lots of Parties

Besides the Colfax races and an ultimate tournament, we also had a 10 year anniversary party (where we saw B's beloved preschool teacher), a graduation party, LT had work, Ads had an overnight birthday party, we had an easter celebration and a 40th birthday party.  It was so much fun, and also exhausting :)

 

Colfax Races

We all (minus LT because he was at an ultimate tournament) did the Colfax 5 K this weekend.  B shaved 11 minutes off his 5K time and Ads shaved 2 minutes off his time from last year.

And while we typically do the half marathon, we ended up doing the 10 mile this year for new scenery (starting at Casa Bonita was unique!)

 

Team Banquet

LT and I went to his swim team banquet a few weeks ago to celebrate the accomplishments of his high school team.

I took some old appliances into B's classroom for the kids to take apart they had a blast discovering what is inside of old electronics.

 

Mothers Day

Despite not ideal weather and many logistical challenges, we managed to go on our annual mothers day hike (all 5 of us, plus Lexi).

 

Spring sports wrapping up

LT had a decent showing for a freshman in the high school league swim meet - placing sixth in his two events and scoring some points for the team. The team that came in a very close second in the league.

After swimming ended, he joined up with the ultimate frisbee team for the last couple weeks of their spring season (they play both fall and spring) and played in the final tournament with the JV squad.

B finished out another season of soccer last weekend. I don't think MLS is exactly in his future but he didn't let anything past him in his half playing in goal.

Having good friends on the team doesn't hurt.

B is also in two different gymnastics classes. This class is  now on hiatus for the summer.

Ads wrapped up a good season of school ultimate last week (though these pics are from an earlier game).

 

League Swim meet

LT swam the 200 IM and the 500 free in the league swim meet.  He managed to get 6th in both events, which is pretty good for a freshman!

And the team won the 400 free relay at the very end of the meet!  The last event for a lot of these seniors.

 

Stanley 50th Gala

Stanley had their 50th anniversary Gala, but we also had the high school league swim meet, so we went dressed up in 70s glam to the swim meet.  Halfway through, and very close to when LT was going to be done swimming, there was a fire alarm, so we missed his last event.  

 

Great Wolf Lodge Birthday

B had two birthday parties, one at a ninja course halfway to Colorado Springs, and the other at the Great Wolf Lodge.  

Ads wanted to join for Great Wolf Lodge, so he came to both!

Dinner and Ice Cream after Expo

B does gymnastics every Tuesday.  Once a month they have "expo" where the kids show off what they've been learning.  We've made somewhat of a tradition of getting dinner and ice cream after expo with our good friends.
