Exhibition at Gymnastics

The last 15 minutes of the last class of the month is called exhibition.  Each kid gets a few minutes to "show off" the monthly trick. 

 

Playdate with K

These two have been having epic lengthy playdates the past few weekends.  They have been friends since birth and its been so fun watching their friendship evolve.

 

Sled Day at School

Bs teachers took the class sledding last week and I was able to join in on the fun!

 

MLK weekend

We spent the first two nights in the mountains, skiing and eating with good friends Saturday night.  We came home early Sunday for LT to work and for our neighbor to come play.

Ads gave all the grandparents a dinner (homecooked by him) for Christmas.  Grandma and Papa came over Sunday night and he made homemade pasta, homemade meatballs, homemade pesto, salad and homemade ice cream.  All excellent!

Monday we did our annual tradition (only stopped for the pandemic) of the marade followed by Zorbas for lunch.

More from winter break in the mountains

NYE in style. "Fixing" a broken mirror on the rental car. Snow dog. And our resident chef, who prepared dinner many of the nights.

 

Friends

One perk to not going to the mountains is that these kids have time to just play with friends.  B had a 9 hour playdate Saturday with one of his best buddies, Ads had 3 friends over Saturday evening and 2 slept over and we had dinner with some friends Sunday night (their 3 kids line up in age with our 3).

Grandparents

 

I always seem to forget to take some pics when with my family. But luckily Kari thought of it and reminded/encouraged me at the end of our xmas get together this year. So we have a couple pics for posterity.

Skiing

Finding weekends that are free and few and far between these days, so we took advantage of our long time up there and managed to ski 8 days so far (me, 9).  LT skied a few days with a friend and then we all skied a day with another set of friends.  B made some HUGE progress.

These guys met up with friends on the last day and skied union bowl with them.

And my room mate from college was out visiting her parents and so I met her in Beaver Creek to ski one day.

Start of Winter Break in Denver

We got back Tuesday and Thursday was supposed to be very cold (below freezing), so I took advantage of the warm (ish) weather on Wednesday and took 3 reluctant teens and one very excited kid to the zoo,  

And roasted marshmallows outside.  As I write this it is 0 degrees outside, so I am glad we took advantage while we could.

And these two had each of their very first sleepovers.  The first night at our house and the next night at Uncle Steves.
